Christmas 2007 Gift Comic 1

So. Because I was lazy, and winter break didn't start until December 22nd, I didn't finish any of my planned Christmas things before Christmas, except for these two comics, which I drew for my mom and my brother, because I was too cheap and (once again) lazy to go to the mall and buy anything for them.

The only character in this one is my feline alter ego. The joke here is that, when the reader sees that a cat is going to put "mice" under the tree, they're to assume that this cat caught a bunch of mice to give as gifts, because cats do that so often.

I think I put way too much detail into the picture of the packages under the tree. I actually went into the living room to look at the tree for reference. Y'see that snowman-shaped package? I counted the number of stripes on it's scarf.
From doing this picture, I have gained a new respect for manga artists that pour large amounts of detail into their backgrounds and settings.
